Growing old,

Together

Granpods is a decentralized model that brings small groups of adults together in community spaces and each other’s homes for shared care & adventures.

We believe that, when older adults hang out, two things happen:

  1. We have way more fun.

  2. We can dilute the costs of care & living.

Upcoming Events…

Stage one: Special events

We began testing Granpods by throwing boutique, immersive experiences for the elders of Orange & Dutchess County, NY.

We were lucky to partner with the Office for the Aging, and take members of the community apple picking, pumpkin picking, cooking, singing, and dancing. Our pilot events have been nothing short of magical

Becoming a licensed care organization takes time… but there is no slowing down the Granpods train.

While we await the necessary licensure to assist older adults with hands-on care, we still want to bring the social benefits of Granpods to the greater community.

That’s why, Alongside our special events, we’ve introduced more casual gatherings where elders can simply enjoy each other’s company — because at this stage, every shared cup of tea feels like a win.

We continue to host and expand our recurring get-togethers at local bars, cafés, and neighborhood homes to keep the spirit of our pilot thriving. These gatherings offer older adults across the Hudson Valley a way to stay connected, engaged, and part of something that’s growing every day.

Stage three: Shared care becomes a reality

Once Granpods receives its official licensure, we’ll launch our very first pod—a small, close-knit group of older adults who come together regularly to share meals, stories, and experiences.

This first pod represents everything Granpods stands for: connection, belonging, and care that feels more like friendship. It’s the moment our vision for communal aging comes fully to life.

A third of adults between 50-year-old and 80-years-old describe themselves as lonely. However 85% want to stay in their own homes. Loneliness doesn’t just hurt—it increases the risk of dementia and early death by nearly 50%.

Aging in place shouldn’t mean aging apart.

Our first pod will be the living blueprint for what’s next. It’s the start of a growing network of communities designed to make aging not just about living longer, but living together.
